This is my very first deviation.
I certainly hope this won't be the last.
But why this photo, specifically?
I started picking up my dad's old Canon EOS 350D again three years from when I last touched it.
I miss taking photos. The camera has been in my family for well over a decade, but I only started picking the thing up again as I rummaged once again through his stuff. Nostalgia must run deep through my veins.
There's an inescapable charm in making life still, and in making the moving and ephemeral permanent and immobile. Perhaps, when I saw this sunset earlier today on Marina Beach in Nasugbu, Batangas, that's what I was looking for.
